ANNAS HOPE
Anna’s Hope is the leading children's brain tumour charity in the East of England. We are committed to giving hope to children and young people diagnosed with a brain tumour.
The charity is inspired by Anna Olivia Hughes, who tragically died from a brain tumour aged only three years and eight months old, and was set up by Anna's parents Rob and Carole Hughes, along with her five Godparents in October 2006.
SUE RYDER
Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that's a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition - we're there when it matters.
Our expert care deals with the pain and the practicalities so that people can focus on what's important: time spent with the people and things that mean the most to them.
MAGPAS AIR AMBULANCE
Magpas Air Ambulance brings crucial lifesaving care by land and air to patients in life-threatening emergencies in the East of England and beyond, 24/7.
The Magpas Air Ambulance medical team receives enhanced training which allows them to offer procedures and treatments at the scene, like general anaesthetic, which are usually only available in hospital. This means that the frontline care the team delivers doesn’t just save lives, it helps seriously ill and injured people return to a good quality of life.
CPSL MIND
We are CPSL Mind, your local Mind charity, supporting positive mental health for residents of Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire. We are a highly collaborative, values-based mental health charity, providing a wide range of strengths-based services and projects to support recovery from mental health problems and promote positive mental health across our diverse communities. Our services include: Crisis Support, Wellbeing and Peer Support, Supporting New Parents., Mental Health Training, Campaigns and Awareness Raising.
We campaign for positive mental health, removing the stigma of talking about mental health and, through our Stop Suicide Campaign, train and empower people on suicide prevention with the aim to create suicide-safe communities.
LIGHT PROJECT PETERBOROUGH
Light Project Peterborough provides support to those who are in desperate need within Peterborough. The vision of LPP is ‘Enabling and equipping the church and community to heal the broken hearted, set free the oppressed and bring good news to the poor.’ We aim to be a truly city-focused, city-change charity by providing projects such as Street Chaplaincy, Homeless Health Hub, Emergency Night Shelter, and Homeless Health Peer Advocacy. Our biggest project though is The Garden House which opened in October 2018 and is Peterborough’s homeless hub.
BOXING FUTURES
Boxing Futures works with vulnerable children and young people living in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire. We use non-contact boxing and therapeutic talk sessions to build their physical health and mental wellbeing. We believe in the potential of every young person – even when they don’t believe in it themselves. We know they are capable of great things.
PETERBOROUGH FOODBANK
Peterborough Foodbank is a partnership of local faith groups that work together to tackle food poverty. We are part of the Trussell Trust Network. Peterborough Foodbank prepares three days worth of nutritionally balanced emergency food donated by the local community which is given out to those referred by frontline care professionals, including doctors, schools and social workers. We currently have over 250 referral workers and in 2023 gave out 6468 food parcels. We have 130 volunteers running the FoodBank in 4 locations across the city 6 days a week.
As well as food, volunteers offer signposting, a listening ear, dignity and respect to all who visit the FoodBank.
We urgently need funds to restock our shelves as we are currently buying in £6000 of stock due to 38% rise in users and 10% drop in donations
RAF BENEVOLENT FUND
As the RAF's leading welfare charity, the RAF Benevolent Fund has supported the RAF Family, through thick and thin, for 100 years.The RAF Benevolent Fund provides lifelong support to serving and ex-serving RAF personnel and their families. We’ll consider any request for assistance, however big or small, providing a tailor-made approach to each individual situation. From mobility aids to confidential counselling to financial grants, we offer a range of support tailored to the individual’s needs.
LITTLE MIRACLES
Little Miracles provides advice, guidance, support, activities, training and safe spaces to families of children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions. We offer a non-judgemental atmosphere where children can play and be accepted, and where families can find the support they need at the time they need it.
H.E.L.P
H.E.L.P Charity support people in need, within Peterborough and surrounding areas. We help with basic essentials such as clothes, food, help with baby equipment, help filling in forms, free English lessons, bikes for people on low incomes to get to work or college, mental health support, opportunities for disadvantaged children such as free sports activities in the holidays, youth work, as well as social activities for adults such as football, cooking and sewing group, to reduce social isolation and increase skills.
THE MINTRIDGE FOUNDATION
The Mintridge Foundation develops mental and physical fitness superpowers of young people (of all abilities and physical capabilities) through relatable sporting role models.
Olympians, Paralympians and other stars, who have an ability to ignite a fire within young people, deliver mentoring programmes across the UK. Starting with presentations and coaching, our ambassadors then provide 1-1 remote mentoring via safeguarded technology to ensure legacy. Our programmes change lives; from a mentee’s international selection, enabling disabled children to find happiness through participation, and helping rebuild families. By giving people the confidence to move, they’ll find the confidence to shine, overcoming life's challenges.

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity dedicated to making life-changing breakthroughs in diagnosis, prevention, treatment and cure.
Backed by our passionate scientists and supporters, we’re challenging the way people think about dementia, bringing together the people and organisations who can speed up progress, and investing in research to make life-changing breakthroughs possible.
LIVING SPORT
Living Sport is an independent charity focused on improving the health, happiness, and wellbeing of the people of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. We work collaboratively with partners and communities to support more people to be active in a way that works for them. “Our vision is of lives and communities improved by people being more active.”
As 1 of 43 Active Partnerships in England, we are part of a unique network of organisations supported by Sport England. It allows us to be the local delivery partner for their national strategy, “Uniting the Movement”, connecting us to wider conversations and bringing a wealth of knowledge from across England.
PETERBOROUGH WOMENS AID
Peterborough Women’s Aid (PWA) was formed in 1975. It is the only specialist domestic abuse service in Peterborough and provides safe and stable refuge accommodation for women and children fleeing high risk domestic abuse, potentially at risk of homicide. The refuge provides essential provision for up to eight families where we can offer our specialist, holistic model of support. PWA has several specialist services which is reflective of the diverse population in Peterborough.
SSAFA
SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, has been providing practical, emotional, and financial support to our Forces and their families since 1885. Last year our teams of volunteers and employees helped more than 79,000 people in need, from Second World War veterans to those who have served in more recent conflicts or are still currently serving, and their families. SSAFA understands that behind every uniform is a person. And we are here for that person and their family – any time they need us, in any way they need us, for as long as they need us.
RAHAM PROJECT
Raham project is a Community Interest Company (CIC) providing information, support and advocacy for ethnic minority families through pregnancy and early parenthood. Our diverse team of mothers and birth workers share a passion to stamp out inequality and do so by providing support for those who are currently using or have used the maternity system in the UK. Raham Project creates a safe, non-judgemental space for mothers and fathers from diverse ethnic communities at our events and online support group. We raise awareness of the perinatal period through representative information, and provide platforms to advocate for women and families. We have close connections with the Local Maternity and Neonatal System, Barnardo’s and CPSL Mind. This allows us to raise mother’s voices, share their experiences and fight for positive change in local and national maternity services.
PERSONALISED EATING DISORDER SUPPORT
PEDS offers services for those with Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder (where the individual does not meet the criteria for the local NHS secondary care eating disorder team- adult or children and young people -CAMHS) or those at risk of these eating disorders, experiencing symptoms which affect quality of life.
HOMESTART CAMBRIDGESHIRE
The vision of Home-Start Cambridgeshire is for the children in our county to have the best possible start in life. We achieve this through our mission to empower hundreds of parents every year with the skills, knowledge, confidence, and emotional resilience to raise their children to flourish. We offer support to families with at least one child under five, at times when they need us most. Family challenges can be wide ranging and can include parental mental health issues, isolation, disability of the parent or the child, bereavement, coping with multiple or traumatic births, poverty, a lack of parenting skills or confidence. Families may be facing multiple, complex needs and we are there for them often when no-one else is. Support services include volunteer led in-home support, remote support, a weekly group session and specialist parent-child psychotherapy service. Our work is vital because children simply can’t wait.
AGE UK CAMBRIDGESHIRE & PETERBOROUGH
Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is an independent brand partner of the national charity, Age UK and works in the community with and for older people across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, providing a wide range of services and support.
We provide free and confidential information which older people and their carers can use with confidence to make informed decisions and choices.
We offer practical support to enable older people to remain independent living in their own homes.
We reduce social isolation and loneliness by bringing people together, providing opportunities to meet people and develop friendships.
